Maternity photography · Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia · In-home & outdoor
You already know you'll wish you had done this.
You're here, which means part of you already knows. You've talked yourself in and out of it a dozen times. The discomfort, the timing, the way your body doesn't quite feel like your own right now. I know. I've been there.
But you also know that this moment - this exact, unrepeatable, enormous moment - is passing. And a phone camera in bad lighting is not going to be enough. Not for this.
I never got maternity photos taken with my son.
I figured my cell phone pictures would be enough. I figured I wouldn't really care to look back at that time. My body was changing, I was unsure of it and of myself, and I talked myself right out of it.
I regret it every single day.
Not because I needed perfect images. Because I needed proof that it happened - that I was there, that it was real, that my body did something extraordinary and I was brave enough to let someone see it. That I let myself see the beauty of it all. I didn't give myself that.
I don't want that for you.
You are growing a person. That deserves to be documented. Not in spite of how you're feeling about your body right now, because of it.
Comfort is everything. The rest follows.

Don't let this one pass you by.
Sessions are best booked between 28 and 36 weeks - early enough to be comfortable, late enough to have that full, beautiful bump.
Reach out sooner than you think you need to.
You are doing something extraordinary. Let's make sure you remember it.

In-home sessions
Soft, intimate, completely yours.
Your bedroom. Your light. The space where this baby already lives in your imagination. In-home maternity sessions have a tenderness to them that nothing else can replicate - unhurried, warm, real.
Outdoor sessions
New life belongs in nature.
Red sandy beaches. Meadows. Flower fields. The Annapolis Valley at golden hour. There is something about a growing belly in the natural world that feels ancient and right and completely breathtaking.
Not sure which feels right? Tell me where you're most comfortable and we'll build the session around that.
I don't want you in a studio under harsh lights feeling like you have to perform. I want you exactly where you feel most like yourself - curled up on your bed, soft light coming through the window, one hand on your belly. Or barefoot in a flower field at golden hour, new life and the natural world doing what they've always done together.
