Family photography · Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia · In-home & outdoor
You're going to want to remember exactly what this felt like.
The sound of little feet. The smell of Sunday dinners. The particular chaos of a house full of people who love each other loudly, messily, completely. You know it in your bones right now, but one day you'll reach for it and it'll be just slightly out of reach.
That's what we're doing here. We're bottling it up.
Think about a 90s movie. The Sandlot. Now and Then. You remember exactly what it felt like...the light, the feeling, the whole thing. That's what a great photograph does.
I want to give you that.
Not a perfect image of your family looking perfect. A real one - of your actual life, in your actual home, on an actual Thursday - that in twenty years will make you close your eyes and be completely, fully back there.
The kids don't have to be still. They don't have to smile. Stop apologizing for them. Let them be little and wild and crazy. Bribe them if you have to. Take up space. Get in the shot yourself - yes, you - the one who's always behind the camera. You are part of this story and you deserve to be in it.
You can't hold this forever. Let's at least give it our best shot.
Your home. Our backyard. Anywhere in between.

Let's make something you'll want to look at for the rest of your life.
Tell me about your family. Where you live, how many kids, how chaotic things currently are.
I love all of it. I am not scared of any of it. Let's go.

In-home sessions
Your space, your people, your whole world in one frame.
This is my favourite. There is something about people in their own space - a comfort, a calm, a realness - that you simply cannot replicate anywhere else. The worn couch. The kitchen light. The corner where the kids always end up. It's all worth keeping.
Outdoor sessions
We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Let's get muddy in the forest. Play at the beach. Wrap up in a blanket by the ocean. Have a picnic by the changing tides. Pick flowers and make flower crowns and laugh until something genuinely funny happens and I'm ready for it. Whatever we do, the Annapolis Valley deserves our full photographic attention.
Not sure which is right for you? Tell me about your family and I'll tell you where I think we'll get the magic.
